WHo is the Space Dragon
Johnny Major Rivers III ( He/They ), Also known as The Space Dragon, does not speak for the border but from the border. A multidisciplinary artist from El Paso, Tejas. Proud Afrochicano uses his art as a form of activism. For over a decade, he has performed nationally, representing El Paso and San Antonio at major competitive poetry slams as well as producing showcases and feature events. Space Dragon shares intimate glimpses into Queer, borderland identity, and experiences. Headlining shows like the biggest little pride in Texas they have been honored by UTEP as a distinguished Queer community leader and most recently Selected as a 2026 Mega Corazon featured poet.
